Carli Lloyd's legend continues to grow. The 2015 World Cup winner and Ballon d'Or winner set an impressive record on Sunday as the U.S. women's national team played Chile in its second group stage match at the 2019 World Cup. Lloyd scored with quite the strike 11 minutes in, finding the back of the net with her left foot. With the goal, she became the first player to score in six straight Women's World Cup games.

The first four games came in the knockout stage of the 2015 tournament as she scored in the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and final. In the title game, Lloyd helped the U.S. capture the trophy with a hat trick vs. Japan. Lloyd scored as a substitute last week against Thailand in the team's record rout, and then she broke open the scoring Sunday against Chile.

Here's the moment:

What a way to do it. Going at the ball with Julie Ertz, she rifled with a touch of curve, and there wasn't a chance to save it. She almost scored earlier in the game but was denied by the post. Lloyd was in the starting lineup for the first time in the tournament against Chile as coach Jill Ellis shuffled her starting XI. Lloyd added a second goal later in the first half to make it 3-0.
