Who's Playing

Texas @ Kansas

Current Records: Texas 21-9; Kansas 24-6

What to Know

The #6 Kansas Jayhawks haven't won a game against the #21 Texas Longhorns since Feb. 3 of 2020, but they'll be looking to end the drought Saturday. The Jayhawks and Texas will face off in a Big 12 battle at 4 p.m. ET at Allen Fieldhouse. Kansas should still be riding high after a victory, while the Longhorns will be looking to get back in the win column.

The TCU Horned Frogs typically have all the answers at home, but on Thursday Kansas proved too difficult a challenge. Kansas came out on top in a nail-biter against TCU, sneaking past 72-68. Four players on Kansas scored in the double digits: guard Ochai Agbaji (22), guard Christian Braun (12), guard Dajuan Harris Jr. (11), and forward David McCormack (10).

Meanwhile, Texas came up short against the Baylor Bears on Monday, falling 68-61. Guard Courtney Ramey wasn't much of a difference maker for Texas; Ramey finished with only six points on 2-for-10 shooting in his 36 minutes on the court.

Kansas is the favorite in this one, with an expected 6.5-point margin of victory. There could be an interesting gambling play in this one, as they have done quite well against the spread at home this season while Texas have struggled against the spread on the road.

The Jayhawks are now 24-6 while the Longhorns sit at 21-9. A couple stats to keep an eye on: Kansas enters the contest with 78.9 points per game on average, good for 25th best in college basketball. But Texas comes into the matchup boasting the seventh fewest points allowed per game in college basketball at 59.1. We'll see which of these strengths -- offense or defense -- will win out.
