Who's Playing
Florida @ Texas A&M
Current Records: Florida 16-9; Texas A&M 15-10
What to Know
The Texas A&M Aggies haven't won a game against the Florida Gators since March 11 of 2016, but they'll be looking to end the drought Tuesday. The Aggies and Florida will face off in an SEC battle at 7 p.m. ET at Reed Arena. Neither A&M nor Florida could muster much offensive firepower in their last games, so look to the defense to decide this one.
A&M received a tough blow this past Saturday as they fell 75-58 to the Auburn Tigers. Guard Tyrece Radford wasn't much of a difference maker for A&M; Radford finished with ten points on 3-for-11 shooting in his 32 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, things couldn't have gone much worse for the Gators as they lost 78-57 to the Kentucky Wildcats this past Saturday. The top scorer for Florida was forward Colin Castleton (18 points).
Barring any buzzer beaters, the Aggies are expected to win a tight contest. Now might not be the best time to take A&M against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past three consecutive games.
The losses put A&M at 15-10 and Florida at 16-9. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: A&M comes into the matchup boasting the fourth most steals per game in college basketball at 10.5. Less enviably, the Gators have allowed their opponents an average of 7.8 steals per game, the 18th most in college basketball. In other words, they will need to work extra hard to take care of the ball.
