UTSA and Lamar came into this contest with previous-game wins. After we'll see if UTSA has enough left in the tank to claim the win or if the Cardinals will come out on top yet again.

The Lamar Cardinals will square off against the UTSA Roadrunners at 6 p.m. ET Saturday at Alamodome.

Everything came up roses for Lamar at home against the North American Stallions last week as the team secured a 47-3 victory. With the Cardinals ahead 31 to nothing at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Meanwhile, UTSA beat the Illinois Fighting Illini 37-30 last week.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Lamar and UTSA clash.
