Former LSU coach Les Miles will interview at Houston either today or Monday, CBS Sports has learned.

Sources in Miles' camp have indicated that he would want Houston, a Group of Five job, even after coaching at in the Power Five his entire career.

CBS Sports confirmed earlier that Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin will interview with Houston today. There is mutual interest on both sides.

"He wants to be a head coach," Alabama coach Nick Saban said of Kiffin following Saturday's SEC title game. "I want him to be a head coach. I want to help him get a head coaching job."

Kiffin to Houston would resolve a possible competitive issue for Saban. New LSU coach Ed Orgeron reportedly wants Kiffin as his offensive coordinator. Kiffin going to an SEC West rival would theoretically allow him to share Alabama plays with his new boss.

Houston is desperate to keep its football momentum going after the loss of Tom Herman to Texas. On Saturday, the school released a statement it would not be interviewing Art Briles.

ESPN first reported that Miles would be interviewed at Houston.
