Since leaving Notre Dame for LSU in late November, coach Brian Kelly has assimilated to Baton Rouge by attempting a southern accent and dancing with recruits. The latter didn't seem to convince three-star tight end Danny Lewis, however, as he chose Alabama over LSU on National Signing Day.

Kelly and Lewis – who was dressed in an LSU uniform – danced together in a video that has gone viral since its Jan. 28 posting, garnering 8.4 million views as of writing.

Lewis committed to the Crimson Tide on Wednesday, less than a week after he posted the video. The Westgate (La.) product joins an Alabama class ranked second nationally behind Texas A&M, per 247Sports

Kelly may not have landed Lewis, but their video drew significant attention throughout college football. Even Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin joked about whether Kelly lost a bet, had his account hacked, or was photoshopped into the video because it "can't be real."

The video certainly was real and could be the first of many. On Saturday, a video of Kelly learning the "Griddy" with the dance's creator emerged and has since gained over 800,000 views.

Former LSU receivers Ja'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson popularized the Griddy since rising to superstardom with the Cincinnati Bengals and Minnesota Vikings, respectively.

LSU's 2022 recruiting class is currently ranked 16th nationally and seventh in the SEC, per 247Sports. Kelly is surely hoping his improving dance moves will lead to even better recruiting classes going forward.
