One of the top quarterbacks in the recruiting class of 2013 now has some legal trouble to deal with before his arrival at Miami.

Four-star recruit Kevin Olsen has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident in his hometown of Wayne, N.J., after colliding with a parked car on May 25, the Wayne Patch reported Monday. Olsen has also been charged with failure to report an accident and careless driving.

According to a witness account cited in police records, Olsen got out of a black SUV that had struck a tree on Emerson Place in Wayne, surveyed the damage to his vehicle, began driving away from the scene, and then struck a car parked in the street. Olsen then allegedly left his vehicle and walked away from the accident.

His driver's license was found near the scene the next morning.

Olsen is scheduled to appear in Wayne municipal court on June 20. According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, Olsen faces fines of up to $400 and up to 30 days in jail.

Per the Sun-Sentinel, Miami coach Al Golden appeared on local radio Wednesday and said he did not believe the situation to be serious.

"I'm confident, after having spoken with Kevin and ... looking at the facts of the case, this will be a non-issue moving forward," Golden said.

The brother of former Hurricanes tight end star Greg Olsen, Olsen signed with the Hurricanes in February as the 247Sports composite No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the country, picking his brother's alma mater over SEC schools Arkansas, Auburn and Florida. He is set to graduate from Wayne Hills High School on June 26. If not redshirted, Olsen could compete for the backup quarterback job behind senior starter Stephen Morris.
