Jalen Hurd is full of surprises.

First, he caught a lot of people off guard when he announced he was transferring from Tennessee. The idea of a player transferring is nothing new, but the fact the running back made his decision at the end of October, with the Vols in the midst of a three-game losing streak certainly is. Hurd explained the choice by saying he was unhappy with how some of his injuries were being handled, and that he wasn't really a fit in the Tennessee offense.

Now, Hurd is visiting Ohio State, according to Cleveland.com.

It's possible that Hurd is intrigued by Ohio State for a few reasons. First of all, Ohio State's pretty good at that whole college football thing. If he transfers to Columbus, he'll still be playing big-time football, and he'll have a chance to win a national title.

As for his fit in the offense, Hurd could possibly be used as an H-back with the Buckeyes. When he announced his transfer, Hurd said it was possible he would look to switch to tight end or receiver at his new school. That could be the role he sees for himself with the Buckeyes.

Regardless of where Hurd transfers to, he'll have to sit out the 2017 season.
