UK vs. MIZZ: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game

Through 3 Quarters

The Kentucky Wildcats are giving their home crowd exactly what it was hoping to see. Sitting on a score of 28-21, they have looked like the better squad out there today, but there's still one more quarter to play. RB Chris Rodriguez Jr. has led the way so far for the Wildcats, as he has rushed for two TDs and 146 yards on 20 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD.

Both UK and the Missouri Tigers padded the win column in their previous outings. It's looking like UK will be able to keep the momentum, but Mizzou still has a quarter to right the ship.

What to Know

The Missouri Tigers and the Kentucky Wildcats are set to square off in an SEC matchup at 7:30 p.m. ET Sept. 11 at Kroger Field. With a combined 1,067 yards of offense in their previous games, we can expect a fast-paced matchup.

Mizzou had a touchdown and change to spare in a 34-24 win over the Central Michigan Chippewas last week. RB Tyler Badie had a dynamite game for the Tigers; he rushed for one TD and 204 yards on 25 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. Badie's longest run was for 69 yards in the fourth quarter.

Mizzou's defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed CMU's offensive line to sack the quarterback eight times for a total loss of 64 yards. Leading the way was LB Blaze Alldredge and his three sacks. Those were the first sacks for Alldredge.

Meanwhile, UK turned the game against the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks into a track meet and took the gold after outgaining them 586 yards to 110. UK was completely in charge last week, breezing past Louisiana-Monroe 45-10 at home. With the Wildcats ahead 28-7 at the half, the game was all but over already. UK QB Will Levis was slinging it as he passed for four TDs and 367 yards on 26 attempts. Near the top of the highlight reel was Levis' 58-yard TD bomb to WR Josh Ali in the first quarter.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 1-0. Watch the contest and check back on CBS Sports to find out who keeps up the positive energy and who hits a stumbling block.
