Navy's perfect season is over following a 30-27 loss to Memphis. A shot a New Year's Six bowl slot to represent the Group of Five conferences just became a lot harder. Worse yet, the Midshipmen committed five turnovers in the loss, essentially beating themselves.
Showtime's "A season with Navy Football" was inside the locker room when coach Ken Niumatalolo delivered a heartfelt motivational speech about rebounding from the loss. Navy faces UCF in Week 8 on CBS Sports Network at 3:30 p.m. ET.
"We have to move on. We have a really, really good UCF team coming to our place next week. We have to find a way to get ready for them. They beat the crap out of the team we just played," Niumatalolo told his players. "That's who we're getting ready to play next week. We don't have any time to feel sorry for ourselves. We don't. This school is a leadership institution. This is where leadership manifests itself."
