The Cubs have signed pitcher Jonathan Sanchez to a minor-league deal that includes incentives if he makes the major-league roster, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Sanchez allowed 18 earned runs in 13 2/3 innings with the Pirates last season while also going 7-3 with a 5.13 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 79:42 K:BB ratio in 66 2/3 innings over 14 starts with Triple-A Albuquerque.
