Sulser signed a minor-league contract Thursday with the Pirates.
Sulser will report to Double-A Altoona. The 29-year-old right-hander was cut loose by the KT Wiz of the Korea Baseball Organization earlier this month after struggling to a 5.80 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB over nine starts covering 49.2 innings.
