Jackman signed a one-day contract to retire as a St. Louis Blue on Tuesday.
Jackman retires from the NHL after 876 career games, more than 800 of which were played with St. Louis. He was not a prolific scorer -- he managed just 29 goals -- but the gritty blueliner did rack up 1,102 PIM over the course of 14 seasons. Selected 17th overall by the Blues in the 1999 NHL Draft out of the WHL, Jackman went on to win the Calder Memorial Trophy in 2002-03 as the league's top rookie.
