Panik notched an assist, two shots and a plus-1 rating in 10:12 of ice time Thursday against Montreal.

Panik's first point of the year came in just his second NHL game of the season, as he was playing for Toronto's AHL affiliate until the Blackhawks picked him up earlier this month. After he washed out with the Bolts and Leafs, Chicago's now the third organization to take a shot on the Slovakian winger's offensive upside, but it seems unlikely that he's got a big role in his near future.
