Bergeron has cleared waivers and is slated to remain with AHL Cleveland for now, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Bergeron, who last saw NHL action in 2012-13, has recorded three goals and nine points in 13 AHL games to date. Given that the 36-year-old blueliner still brings some offensive skills to the table, he could earn a call-up down the stretch. In such a scenario, the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder would need to see some power-play ice time in order to resurface as a fantasy option.
