Edler (leg) was ruled out for the season with a broken leg by GM Jim Benning, Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Edler will face a difficult recovery, but should be expected to return to Vancouver ready to go next season. When the 29-year-old was injured in early February, he was stuck in a 23-game goalless drought. The defenseman did hit the 20-point mark for the ninth consecutive year and shows no signs of stopping that trend in 2016-17.
