Reese cleared waivers Thursday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Reese has only suited up for four NHL contests since 2012, and will almost certainly spend the rest of the 2015-16 campaign with AHL Springfield. He was, however, a solid producer in the minors last season, notching 40 points (10 goals, 30 assists) in 72 games with AHL Portland.
