Reese was activated from the IR and placed on waivers Wednesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Reese has played in just four NHL games since 2012, featuring just once for the Coyotes last season. He was a strong contributor for AHL Portland last season, scoring 10 goals and 40 points in 72 games, but he hasn't been able to translate his AHL success to the NHL.
