Adam will join the Flames on a professional tryout agreement, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet reports.

Adam is coming off back-to-back AHL seasons where he averaged over a point per two contests between the Rochester Americans, Springfield Falcons, and the Hartford Wolfpack. The former AHL Rookie of the Year stands at six-foot-two and 206 pounds and uses his size to effectively score on rebound opportunities in front of the net. If he does get inked to a long-term contract with the Flames following his tryout, it appears unlikely he will claim a featured role in the lineup until he can prove his talent translates to the NHL.
