Tanev has made the Jets' 23-man roster for the start of the 2016-17 season.
Following the conclusion of his collegiate career with Providence, Tanev inked a one-year, two-way deal with Winnipeg. During the preseason, the winger averaged 1:50 of ice time per game on the penalty kill, which likely went a long way toward earning his roster spot. The 24-year-old figures to slot into the left side of the fourth line.
