Nygard was loaned to Farjestad BK of the SHL on Friday, Elite Prospects reports.
The Oilers were swept by the Jets in the first round of the playoffs, so Nygard will head overseas to presumably keep training in preparation for the beginning of the 2021-22 SHL campaign. The 28-year-old forward went scoreless through nine appearances with Edmonton this season.
