Edstrom was sent down to AHL Hartford on Friday, per Tony Androckitis of Inside AHL Hockey.
Edstrom has played 11 games with the Rangers this year, registering two goals and 30 hits. The 23-year-old was sent down to become eligible for the AHL playoffs and could potentially get called up again soon.
