Rueschhoff was assigned to the taxi squad Friday, CBS Sports reports.
Rueschhoff made his minor-league debut this season after spending three years at the collegiate level with Western Michigan University. The 23-year-old has an assist in two games with AHL Hartford and will most likely head back there soon.
