Glencross was released from his professional tryout offer with the Avalanche Monday, NHL.com's Rick Sadowski reports.Glencross has had an eventful preseason. He initially signed a PTO with the Maple Leafs, but after failing to secure a roster spot with Toronto, he signed a PTO with Colorado. Now that he's been released from his PTO with the Avalanche, he'll likely need to wait until the season gets underway and the injury bug sets in before getting another look with an NHL club. The 32-year-old winger tallied 35 points in 71 games with Calgary and Washington last season.
