Hicketts was placed on waivers by Minnesota on Friday, CapFriendly reports.
Hicketts spent the entirety of the 2020-21 season with AHL Grand Rapids, picking up one goal and 18 points through 32 contests. It'll almost certainly take a number of injuries to the Wild's blue-line corps for Hicketts to touch NHL ice in 2021-22.
