Wild's Victor Bartley: Inks one-year deal with Minnesota

Bartley (lower body) signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Wild on Friday.

Bartley appeared in 10 NHL contests last season, registering eight shots on goal with zero points and a plus-2 rating over that span. The 28-year-old Ontario native will provide the Wild with organizational depth at defense in 2016-17, and will likely spend the majority of the season in the minors. Bartley was dealing with a lower-body ailment at the end of the 2015-16 campaign, but should be ready for training camp in September.
