Labanc scored his 10th goal of the season in Monday's 7-2 win over the Canucks. A game after his first career hat trick, Labanc was at it again with the goal. He's at 37 points in 57 games, sitting just one goal and three points shy of his totals from last year. While not known for his physicality, he also delivered two hits Monday. Labanc's contributions have helped the Sharks become the second-ranked offense in the NHL with 3.68 goals per game, and he should be gaining attention in the league and fantasy formats alike.
Labanc netted three goals Saturday in a 5-2 win over the Oilers. It's the first hat trick of the young winger's career. Labanc has been particularly hot lately -- he has six points, including four goals, in his last four games. He's now within four points of equaling his career mark of 40 points. And Labanc's closing in on his first 50-point season. One word. Keeper.
Labanc notched two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 3-2 win over Winnipeg. The 23-year-old has been outstanding in his past nine games, recording nine points in that span. With Tuesday's helpers, the winger pushed his point total up to 33 in 54 games. Labanc will look to make it three straight games with a point when the Sharks travel to Calgary on Thursday.
Labanc posted a goal and three points in a 6-3 loss to the Coyotes on Wednesday. The 23-year-old picked up a point on all three of the Sharks' goals Wednesday night for his first official three-point night of the season. Lebanc did have a four-point game, with four assists, against the Flyers on Oct. 9, but he has no other games with three or more points. Hopefully this gets him out of his little funk, as Labanc had come into the night with only two points in the last eight games. He has five goals and 29 points in 49 contests this season.
Labanc dialed up a power-play goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-3 road win over the Blackhawks. Don't let Labanc's third-line assignment fool you -- he has the offensive chops to make an impact in most fantasy leagues, having accumulated four goals, 18 assists and 10 power-play points over 34 games. Viewed through another lens, Labanc boasts a terrific 2.7 points per 60 minutes of play, leaving his owners wishing he'd average more than 14:38 of ice time per contest.
