AUGUSTA, Ga. -- With 18 holes down and 54 more to go, the 2019 Masters is still anyone's game. Well, OK, not anyone, exactly. In fact, a Masters winner has not come outside of the top 10 on Thursday in the last 13 years. The last golfer to do it was Tiger Woods in 2005. And wouldn't you know ... Woods sat at T11 after his first round of action, four shots back of the lead after posting a 2-under 70 on Thursday.

The good news for Woods is that no one made a move early on Friday, leaving the top of the leaderboard open if he is able to make a run over these 18 holes. Woods is off to go a good start, going 2 under through 11, though a missed birdie putt on the 12th will not hurt his case. Francesco Molinari and Jason Day posted he best efforts of the day thus far, and Dustin Johnson has moved into contention just one shot back of the leaders.
