Rory McIlroy will make his debut at Colonial Country Club this week at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge in Fort Worth. McIlroy, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, will headline a star-studded 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge field alongside the likes of Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson and Justin Thomas. There are also multiple former champions in this week's field, including Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Kevin Kisner, Justin Rose and defending champion Kevin Na.

The first 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge tee times are on Thursday at 7:50 a.m. ET. McIlroy, who's finished fifth or better in every start on the PGA Tour this season, is the Vegas favorite at 15-2, followed closely by Rahm (12-1) and Thomas (16-1) in the latest 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge odds. Before locking in any 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge picks of your own or entering any PGA DFS tournaments on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, be sure to check out the predictions and projected leaderboard from the team at SportsLine.

SportsLine's prediction model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has nailed two of the last three majors entering the weekend. It predicted Gary Woodland's first career major championship at the U.S. Open even though he wasn't the favorite entering the weekend. The result: Woodland held off a late charge from Brooks Koepka and won by three strokes. The model also called Koepka's historic victory at the 2019 PGA Championship, predicting he'd hold his lead in the home stretch.

In all, their advanced computer model has nailed a whopping six majors entering the weekend. And already this season, the model called Justin Thomas (15-2) winning the CJ Cup, Rory McIlroy (11-2) taking down the WGC-HSBC Champions and Viktor Hovland (11-1) earning his first career PGA Tour victory at the Puerto Rico Open. Anyone who has followed it is way up.

Now that the Charles Schwab Challenge 2020 field is locked, SportsLine simulated the event 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the full projected leaderboard.

The model's top 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge predictions

One huge shocker the model is calling for: Bryson DeChambeau, a five-time PGA Tour winner and one of the top Vegas favorites, stumbles and doesn't even crack the top five.

DeChambeau is getting low Charles Schwab Challenge odds 2020 this week because he finished fifth or better in the final three PGA Tour events he played in prior to the hiatus. But he also finished 52nd at the Phoenix Open in February and started the 2019-20 PGA Tour season by missing the cut in a Military Tribute at The Greenbrier.

DeChambeau struggled mightily at this event last May, firing back-to-back rounds of 72 and missing the cut. His 60.44 percent driving accuracy ranks 122nd on Tour this season, and that should put him in tough positions this weekend, making him one of the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge favorites to avoid.

Another surprise: Brooks Koepka, a 28-1 long shot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.

Oddsmakers are expecting Koepka to be rusty in his first start since the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. Koepka didn't fare well early this season, finishing outside the top 40 in all five of his starts on the PGA Tour. Despite his slow start to the season, the 30-year-old has remained one of the most successful golfers on the PGA Tour. In fact, Koepka won three tournaments last season and earned a total of nine top-10 finishes. He's also fared well at Colonial Country Club, earning a runner-up finish in his only Charles Schwab Challenge start in 2018.

In addition, Koepka enters the Charles Schwab Challenge 2020 averaging over 307 yards per drive this season. His ability to drive the ball deep into the fairway allows him to use his short irons to approach the green, which bodes well for Kopeka's chances this week at Colonial, a par-70 course that plays around 7,200 yards. The four-time major champion certainly has the game to be near the top of the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge leaderboard come Sunday, and at 28-1 odds, he's a value pick who should be squarely on your radar.

How to make 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge picks

Also, the model says four other golfers with odds of 28-1 or longer will make a strong run at the title, including a massive long shot who's higher than 40-1. Anyone who backs these underdogs could hit it big. You can only see them here.
