The competition is under way as golf gets back in the swing of these for the second time since the coronavirus pandemic halted play for nearly three months. With players making their way to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the 2020 RBC Heritage, this week's action is sure to deliver as many of the stars of the sport look to get back in rhythm.
This week, traditionally when the U.S. Open would be played with Fathers Day on Sunday, has a little bit of added weight at this point in the schedule. There's still seven more events until we reach the next major championship of the year -- the PGA Championship in San Francisco slated for Aug. 6-9.
After the opening round at Harbour Town, Ian Poulter and Mark Hubbard share the lead at 7 under, but seven players are just one shot back and another six are two back, including both Jordan Spieth and Tony Finau. Plus, guys like last week's winner Daniel Berger, Brooks Koepka, Bryson DeChambeau and Rickie Fowler are 4 under after 18 holes.
Friday's tee times will be the inverse of Thursday's action with the same groups. Some of the bigger ones to follow include Berger, Koepka, and Patrick Reed at 12:54 p.m. ET and Fowler, Rory McIlroy and C.T. Pan at 1:05 p.m. ET.
