Jordan Spieth found the abyss of golf between 2017 and 2021, going from winning the Open Championship to finding himself close to falling out of the world top 100 rankings. But so much has changed for Spieth this year heading into this week's 2021 Memorial Tournament. Spieth broke an extended winless drought by capturing the Valero Texas Open, and begins play Thursday at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio as one of the favorites to capture his 13th career PGA Tour title.

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Memorial Tournament 2021: DeChambeau, the 2018 champion and one of the top Vegas favorites, doesn't even crack the top 10. DeChambeau has been one of the hottest players on tour this season, winning the U.S. Open and Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The eight-time PGA Tour champion continues to crush the ball, averaging over 320 yards per drive this season, which ranks first on tour. DeChambeau's length off the tee also has him ranked inside the top 10 in birdie average, scoring average and strokes gained: tee-to-green.
However, DeChambeau is hitting fewer than 55 percent of fairways off the tee this season, which can cause plenty of trouble at Muirfield Village. His inability to find the fairway off the tee has resulted in DeChambeau finishing T-38 or worse in four of his last five starts. He's not a strong pick to win it all and there are far better values in the Memorial Tournament 2021 field.
Another surprise: Xander Schauffele, a 22-1 long shot, makes a deep run at the title. Schauffele has a much better chance to win than his odds imply. The sixth-ranked player in the world, Schauffele would love to make his fifth PGA Tour title happen at the Jack Nicklaus-designed Muirfield Village.
Schauffele has done everything but win on the PGA Tour in 2020-21, finishing in the top 10 six times and earning over $4.4 million to rank sixth in the FedEx Cup points standings. Schauffele has been a runner-up three times this season, placing second at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the Farmers Insurance Open and the CJ Cup at Shadow Creek. Schauffele has made two cuts in three appearances at The Memorial, placing 14th in 2019 and 13th in 2020. With a strong record at Muirfield Village and a winning pedigree, Schauffele is definitely a player to watch for your 2021 Memorial Tournament bets.
