The 2021 Ryder Cup will begin on Friday at Whistling Straits Golf Course in Sheboygan, Wis., and after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the event to be postponed by a year, the most emotional event in golf will only be more meaningful. Since 1977, the event has pitted 12 players from Team USA against 12 players from Team Europe in a variety of match-play formats. The race to 14.5 points is almost always a contentious one, but Team Europe has won seven of the last nine Ryder Cups.

For the Ryder Cup 2021, Team USA will be headlined by Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Bryson DeChambeau, while Team Europe will be led by Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland. The Americans are the -200 favorites (bet $200 to win $100), while the Europeans are +200 and a tie is +1200 in the latest 2021 Ryder Cup odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Before locking in your 2021 Ryder Cup picks, be sure to see the best bets and predictions from SportsLine's Mike McClure

McClure built SportsLine's proprietary golf model, which has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed last June. In fact, the model is up almost $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

At the 2021 Open Championship, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. He was also all over Daniel Berger (+220) and Emiliano Grillo (+700) finishing inside the top-20. McClure's best bets netted over $2,200 at the 2021 Open Championship.

In addition, McClure's model was all over Jon Rahm's (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner. And at the 2021 Masters, McClure nailed Rahm's (+250) top-five finish in his best bets, as well as Corey Conners' (+550) top-10 showing.

This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has evaluated the Ryder Cup odds 2021 from Caesars and locked in his best bets. Head to SportsLine now to see the top picks and predictions for the Ryder Cup 2021

2021 Ryder Cup predictions

McClure's 2021 Ryder Cup best bets include taking Europe as the first team to reach 10 points (tie no bet) at +135 odds. Despite almost always facing a huge disparity in terms of total world rankings, the Europeans have dominated the Ryder Cup in the modern era and that history makes it difficult not to like Team Europe fetching plus-money.

That's especially true because Team Europe is coming off a 17.5 to 10.5 rout at the 2018 Ryder Cup at Le Golf National just outside of Paris. The foundation of that European team remains largely unchanged with seven players back overall, including cornerstones like Rahm, McIlroy, Paul Casey and Tommy Fleetwood. Meanwhile, the Americans will welcome six first-time players into the fold and will have the constant distraction of the Koepka vs. DeChambeau rivalry looming over their heads throughout the week.
