The final major of the year -- the 2017 PGA Championship -- starts Thursday. All eyes will be on Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, as golf's top names compete for a $10.5 million purse.

Before you make any PGA Championship bets or enter a daily fantasy golf tournament on FanDuel or DraftKings, you need to see what the team at SportsLine has to say.

SportsLine's prediction model, which was built by DFS pro Mike McClure, nailed the Masters and U.S. Open, calling career-defining wins from Sergio Garcia and Brooks Koepka entering the weekend. It was all over Jordan Spieth at the British Open from the start and called the 24-year-old's third major win after the first round.

With golf's elite teeing off Thursday, SportsLine simulated the PGA Championship 10,000 times, and the results were surprising.

One huge shocker it's calling: Dustin Johnson, the No. 1-ranked golfer in the world and a Vegas favorite at 9/1, doesn't even crack the top 10.

Another surprise: Jason Day, the runner-up in last year's PGA Championship and a Vegas favorite at 20/1, barely makes the top 20.

SportsLine's model is high on Rory McIlroy (7/1) and Koepka (20/1). Both finished in the top 10 at the British Open and you should expect them to be among the top contenders at the PGA Championship.

The model also is calling for a huge long shot to make a run at his first major title, which could mean a big payoff.

So who wins the 2017 PGA Championship? And what massive long shot stuns the golfing world? Check out the odds below and visit SportsLine now to see the full PGA Championship projected leaderboard from the model that's called the winners of all 3 majors and find out.
