Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth have been regulars in PGA DFS lineups for years, but daily Fantasy golf players will have to decide if they can be trusted when they set their PGA DFS strategy for the 2021 Tour Championship, which tees off on Thursday. Johnson, who's among the highest priced players on both DraftKings and FanDuel, is the defending champion of this event. However, the 22-time PGA Tour champion enters the 2021 Tour Championship seven-strokes behind Patrick Cantlay, the top-ranked player in the FedEx Cup standings.

Spieth, whose PGA DFS price is $10,400 on DraftKings and $11,000 on FanDuel, is coming off a disappointing T-34 finish last week at the BMW Championship. However, the 28-year-old knows what it takes to win at East Lake, winning the Tour Championship in 2015. Can those household names be relied on as PGA DFS picks this week? Or is it time to fade them in favor of players with a significantly lower price tag? Before entering any PGA DFS tournaments or cash games for the Tour Championship 2021, you'll want to see the latest daily Fantasy golf picks, advice and player pool from SportsLine's Mike McClure.

McClure is a DFS pro with nearly $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA Tour picks this season. McClure is also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every tournament 10,000 times, taking factors like statistical trends, past results and current form into account. This allows him to find the best PGA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They're a must-see for any PGA DFS player.

Last week at the BMW Championship, McClure included Jon Rahm among his top PGA DFS picks. The result: Rahm secured his fourth consecutive top-10 finish, returning 103 points on DraftKings and 122.5 points on FanDuel. Anybody who had him in their lineup was well on the way to a profitable weekend.

In addition, McClure's model is up almost $10,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. This same model has also nailed a whopping seven majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has set his sights on the Tour Championship 2021 and revealed his optimal PGA DFS advice, strategy and player pool. Head to SportsLine now to see his top daily Fantasy golf picks for the 2021 Tour Championship

Top 2021 Tour Championship PGA DFS picks

One of McClure's top PGA DFS picks for the Tour Championship 2021: Jon Rahm at $13,000 on DraftKings and $13,000 on FanDuel. Rahm has been sensational in recent tournaments, finishing inside the top-10 in each of his last four starts on the PGA Tour. That includes his first major victory at the U.S. Open and back-to-back third-place finishes at the Open Championship and the Northern Trust.

Rahm has been able to secure those positive results thanks in large part to his exceptional iron play. In fact, the six-time PGA Tour champion is hitting nearly 72 percent of greens in regulation, which has him ranked first in both birdie average (4.51) and scoring average (69.388). He's a ball-striking machine that also ranks first in strokes gained: tee-to-green (1.781), so confidently lock him in your PGA DFS lineups and look for a big return this week at East Lake.

McClure's optimal PGA DFS strategy also includes rostering Daniel Berger at 5,800 on DraftKings and $7,600 on FanDuel. Berger, who has 13 top-25 finishes in 22 starts this season, is an almost sure-fire bet to be near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.

Berger doesn't explode off the tee quite as much as some of the other top contenders, but he enters this week's event ranked among the best iron players on tour. In fact, the 28-year-old ranks inside the top-10 in greens in regulation percentage (70.56), scoring average (69.895) and strokes gained: approach the green (.842). Berger also ranks 16th in strokes gained: tee-to-green (1.069) and 11th in strokes gained: total (1.324), which makes him an extremely valuable PGA DFS asset.
