Kevin Na has finished in the top 15 at two of the past three U.S. Opens, so he knows a thing or two about contending at the national championship.

Before this year's event, he showed off on Instagram how gnarly the setup for the 117th edition of this tournament will be and voiced some frustration with how penal the fescue on the 7,700-yard course.

This comes on the heels of Adam Scott petitioning the USGA for a more fair setup because of what has happened the past two years.

"Erin Hills is a great design course but the fescue is almost unplayable," Na wrote on Instagram on Sunday. "By the way never found the ball. So don't hit it in there lol."

He also suggested in the video that maybe some past U.S. Open winners should set the course up instead of the USGA, which is one of the best ideas I've ever heard.

Anyway, long and crooked could be bad this week depending on just how crooked you shoot it. As Na showed here, hitting your tee shot into the thick stuff is equivalent to hitting it into water. So I'm sure the players will enjoy that for 72 holes.
