Daric Barton accepts Triple-A assignment

Athletics first baseman Daric Barton has accepted his assignment to Triple-A Sacramento after being outrighted off the 40-man roster, MLBDailyDish.com reports.

Barton could have elected free agency rather than head to Sacramento, but he'll stick with the Oakland organization. He hit .158/.234/.175 in 57 at-bats with the A's before the move.
