Once upon a time, perfect games didn't happen on what felt like a bi-weekly basis. There were three perfect games in 2012 alone (Felix Hernandez, Phil Humber, Matt Cain), plus another two in 2010 (Dallas Braden, Roy Halladay). At one point baseball went more than 13 years between perfectos (1968-81).

The first of four perfect games during the 1990s was throwing by right-hander Dennis "El Presidente" Martinez, who made history with the Expos against the Dodgers in Dodger Stadium on July 18, 1991. The entire game, all nine innings, is now available on YouTube:
