It's been a pretty busy couple of days for White Sox pitcher Philip Humber since throwing a perfect game on Saturday, and  about the only thing that can top throwing a perfect game is appearing on CBS (oh, and a call from the president isn't too bad, either). Monday night, Humber was on the Late Show With David Letterman (after your local news on your local CBS station!) to deliver the nightly "Top Ten" list.

1. Humber? How about Humbest!
Humber seemed a little nervous at first, but warmed up and did a good job during the interview. Letterman also brought up the fact that Humber was once a Met.

"Did you pitch for the Mets for a little while?" Letterman asked.

"I did, just for a little bit," Humber, the Mets' first-round pick in 2004, replied.

"Well how did that go?"

"Well, apparently not too well, they got rid of me," Humber responded.

Humber became the seventh ex-Met to throw a no-hitter after leaving the team. The Mets, of course, have never had a no-hitter in their history -- a count of 7,984 games.

In addition to appearing on Letterman, Humber also got a call from the country's most famous White Sox fan, President Barack Obama.

"It definitely is an honor to speak to him," Humber told the Chicago Tribune. "He just wanted to congratulate me. He even asked about Kristan and the baby and asked about how that was going.

"He shared some of his experience of being a new father. He's a very nice man, and he represents our country in a good way. He's definitely a great communicator, and I appreciate him talking to me."
