Stepping up on short notice can have big payoffs, or it can be a big setback. In the case of Paul Felder's decision to step in on short notice to face Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of this past Saturday's UFC Fight Night, it was dos Anjos who reaped the benefits.

Despite Felder stepping in on just a few days' notice, the fight remained a five-rounder at the 155-pound lightweight limit. After all five rounds had ticked away, dos Anjos was awarded a split-decision victory. That it was a split decision may give something of an unrealistic idea of how the fight played out as the one judge who saw the fight for Felder turned in a scorecard that was universally dismissed. MMADecisions.com tracked scores from 20 media members, with all 20 scoring the fight for dos Anjos with no scores closer than 49-46.

In victory, dos Anjos enters the CBS Sports UFC Divisional Rankings at lightweight, a division where he once held the world championship. He breaks in at the No. 8 spot, replacing previously No. 8-ranked Felder.

Saturday's UFC 255 card features four fights involving CBS Sports ranked fighters:

  • Flyweight championship: No. 1 Deivieson Figueiredo (c) vs. No. 8 Alex Perez
  • Women's flyweight championship: No. 1 Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. No. 4 Jennifer Maia
  • Women's flyweight: No. 3 Cynthia Calvillo vs. Katlyn Chookagian
  • Flyweight: No. 2 Brandon Moreno vs. Brandon Royval

Rankings are compiled following the submission of ballots by Brent Brookhouse, Brian Campbell, Jack Crosby and Brandon Wise. Without further ado, here's where things stand ahead of Saturday's card.
