  • 76ers' Justin Harper: Will sign 10-day deal with Philadelphia

Harper will sign a 10-day contract with the 76ers on Friday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Harper, a 2011 second-round pick of the Cavaliers, has just 19 NBA appearances to his name, with five of those coming when he received a pair of 10-day deals from the Pistons in 2015-16. The 27-year-old, who is averaging 16.2 points and 7.0 rebounds for the Los Angeles D-Fenders on the season, should help bolster the team's depth in the frontcourt with Joel Embiid (knee) ruled out for the season, but he's not expected to be a rotation player.

  • Justin Harper: Won't be re-signed

Harper's second 10-day contract with the Pistons expired Tuesday, and the team announced he wouldn't be signed for the remainder of the season, Keith Langlois of Pistons.com reports.

Harper was brought in by the Pistons in late February to provide depth at forward while Anthony Tolliver (knee) and Stanley Johnson (shoulder) were out with injuries. The 26-year-old lost his rotation spot when those two players returned to full health, and he'll finish his stint with the Pistons with averages of 2.6 points over seven minutes in five appearances. Coach Stan Van Gundy indicated that the Pistons didn't have any immediate plans to add another player to fill the vacant roster spot.

The 26-year-old will look to make his first appearance for an NBA squad since the 2011-12 season where he had 14 outings with the Magic.
