The Indianapolis Colts announced 11 cuts Sunday, and moved five players to the PUP list and injured reserve to get down to the league-mandated roster size of 75 players by Monday afternoon. The team will have to be reduced to 53 players by Friday evening. The defensive backfield saw the biggest hit, losing six players.

The Colts announced Monday that wide receiver Griff Whalen, offensive tackle George Foster, and nose tackle Brandon McKinney to injured reserve. They also moved nose tackle Josh Chapman to the reserve/non-injury list, and offensive guard Justin Anderson to the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

Notable cuts: CB Chris Rucker (2nd year, Michigan State) -- Rucker was the only Indianapolis draft pick among the departed, as he was taken in the sixth round of last year's draft. He had 36 tackles last season and an interception the the Colts' first preseason game of 2012, but with the acquisition of Vontae Davis, there just wasn't enough room to keep Rucker.
