There are a few things every NFL fan knows about Ryan Fitzpatrick right now.

No. 1, without question: he went to Harvard. If you have ever watched a game that Ryan Fitzpatrick was playing in, there is a 100 percent chance you heard the announcer mention that Fitzpatrick went to Harvard unless you had the TV volume on mute.

No. 2, he had a lengthy contract dispute with the Jets this offseason. It lasted forever and it was annoying as hell because the Jets themselves wouldn't stop talking about it.

No. 3, his 2015 season was far out of line with the rest of his career. Actually, a lot of people don't realize that. But it's true. Fitz had a career record of 33-55-1 entering 2015 before going 10-6 with the Jets. He had a career passer rating of 79.5 before recording an 88.0 rating with the Jets. His career touchdown-to-interception ratio was 123-to-101 (approximately 1.22-to-1) before throwing 31 touchdowns and 15 picks in 2015 (approximately 2.07-to-1).

No. 4, he has a giant beard.

Here's the thing, though: Fitz's beard is no more. He showed up at camp (relatively) clean-shaven.

It's the end of an era.
