Titans announce release of veteran RB Shonn Greene

The Titans have announced that they have released veteran running back Shonn Greene.

The 29-year-old Greene was scheduled to earn $3,25 million this season, the last in a three-year deal he signed in 2013.

He has not been particularly productive with 687 yards rushing and six touchdowns over the last two years combined after back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons with the Jets.
