There is no hiding at the NFL Scouting Combine. Prospects show the entire football world pretty much everything they've got.
Mississippi State defensive tackle Chris Jones' exposure took quite the literal turn on Sunday. After NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock set the stage for Jones' 40-yard dash by saying he was "very surprised Chris Jones came out this year," his words became all too true. Midway through his 40-yard dash, Jones experienced a wardrobe malfunction. Luckily, Jones aced the pop quiz, demonstrating the ability to think quickly on his feet when obstacles arise, which can only bode well for his NFL prospects.
Knowing he couldn't sacrifice speed for modesty, Jones kept on running. But, at the end of his run, when the cameras would zero in and discover the developing situation, Jones smartly responded with a clutch, gritty penguin dive/slide, which gave him enough time to remedy the problem.
Unfortunately, the cameras were a bit slow to connect the dots. So, they reacted by showing the instant replay in slow motion. And, by then, not even Jones could save himself.
Is the full NSFW clip available for viewing? Yes -- somewhere out there on the Internet. For obvious reasons (I like my job, to name one), I won't be linking to that video, but feel free to chase it down.
And at this point, I think it's necessary to point out that Jones is hardly at fault here. If anything, this shouldn't be an unexpected result considering over 300 players are running around all week in the equivalent of underpants.
Does @UnderArmour not use elastic in their combine gear?? Seeing lots of crack today, gentlemen.

But back to Jones, because he actually, outside of that awkward moment, had an impressive showing at the combine.

Physical freak.
And he's really leaving a lasting impressing on folks.
Wardrobe malfunction aside, Chris Jones running a 1.7 10-yd split at 310 pounds should be one of the top stories of the morning
