The Los Angeles Rams invited American ring announcer Michael Buffer to their Sunday night game against the Tennessee Titans to make a pregame speech, but things did not exactly go as planned. Buffer is, of course, known for his catchphrase "let's get ready to rumbleeee!"

However, he couldn't get his signature words out before the game began.

Timing is everything and during Sunday Night Football, the timing was off. The Titans were ready to rumble, so they did not wait for the catchphrase to be said to kick the ball off. Instead, they started the game while Buffer was still talking.

Take a look at what went down:

Football waits for no one and the Titans were definitely not going to wait for the pregame ceremony to finish to get the game started.

Buffer was introducing the event and welcoming the fans both at the new SoFi stadium and at home to the Sunday Night Football program. He did get "let's get ready to rumble" out, but it was when a touchback had already taken place.

Tennessee took control to start the game and remained in control for all 60 minutes of play that followed. The Titans came into the game 6-2, but a dominant win against the Rams put them at 7-2 and kept them as the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Following the 28-16 loss, the Rams fell to 7-2.
