Wednesday night not only featured what could very well go down as the Assist of the Season from Clarke MacArthur, but we might have also seen the Save of the Season thanks to Flames netminder Reto Berra. Not bad for a light night in terms of the schedule.

Just a few minutes into Calgary's game against the Blue Jackets, Berra was the last line of defense against a Columbus power play so he used all the tricks in his arsenal. Considering he hails from soccer-made Europe (Switzerland to be precise), that includes kicking. Bicycle kicking.

Christiano Ronaldo, eat your heart out.

That save on Jack Johnson's shot helped the Flames get the game to overtime but Berra couldn't withstand an onslaught from Columbus and Calgary lost 2-1. A goaltender can only have so many dramatic saves in a game.

Kick save and a beauty, indeed.
