Ben Johnson: Will have contract terminated by Devils
The Devils began the process required to terminate Johnson's contract Thursday after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in March 2013, Greg Wyshynski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
New Jersey selected Johnson in the third round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The 22-year-old's role within the Devils organization as well as his career as a professional hockey player have both likely come to an end.
