UEFA Champions League picks for Ajax vs. Benfica

Before tuning into Tuesday's Champions League clash, you need to see the Ajax vs. Benfica picks from SportsLine's soccer insider Jon Eimer. Eimer is a high-volume bettor who has vast knowledge of leagues and players across the globe. Since joining SportsLine, Eimer has covered the English Premier League, Serie A, the FA Cup and much more. The Indiana-based handicapper compiled a winning record of 260-133-1 with over 90 units of profit for his community on various platforms over a recent two-month stretch.

For Ajax vs. Benfica, Eimer is expecting both teams to score at -185 odds. Ajax striker Sébastien Haller has been unstoppable in Champions League play this season. In fact, Haller has scored 11 goals in this competition, which ranks second behind Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski. Haller has also found the back of the net 19 times while producing seven assists in 23 matches in the Eredivisie.

Benfica, meanwhile, has also been a consistent scoring threat, scoring at least one goal in each of its last 14 fixtures across all competitions. The Eagles peppered Ajax's goal with shots in the first leg, recording 17 total and four on target. Benfica will be confident it can find the back of the net against an Ajax defense that has recorded a shutout just once in its last five fixtures.

"Ajax has conceded more goals in their last three league games than their previous 20 games before that," Eimer told SportsLine. "While this team has no trouble scoring, they will have a hard time clean sheeting a Benfica side that has scored in 19 of its last 20 games across all competitions."
