Storylines

Mexico: The defense continues to carry this team. In the last six games, they've yet to concede. In fact, the last time they conceded was that 3-2 loss to the United States in the Concacaf Nations League final. Against Honduras, they should have their way as well. But, they'll need to keep an eye on Romell Quioto. The CF Montreal man scored twice against Panama and has speed and technical ability that cannot be overlooked.

Honduras: They are going to need something special here. After being blanked 2-0 by Qatar, where will that produce come from? They didn't even produce a shot on goal against next year's World Cup hosts and were dominated for much of the 90 minutes. Don't be surprised if there is a change in the formation, with the 4-2-3-1 not generating enough through the middle. Alexander Lopez must get the ball forward quickly and continue moving forward to offer support. Otherwise, they have very little chance of breaking down that defense.

Prediction

Mexico once again record a clean sheet and cruise into the semifinals with a goal in each half. Pick: Mexico 2, Honduras 0
