Last time out, Mauricio Pochettino's men suffered a continental hangover and were beaten 2-0 by Stade Rennais at Roazhon Park for their first league defeat of the season. Looking to bounce back from that, the hosts will be depleted after international duty with their South American contingent unavailable and the likes of Keylor Navas, who was injured in Costa Rica's 2-1 loss to the United States.

PSG: No longer defending a 100% record, emulating Nantes' 32-match record unbeaten run from 1994-95 is also out of the window for at least another season. Pochettino will have to do without numerous star names after the international break as he prepares for RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League next week (on Paramount+) but should be able to count on the services of UEFA Nations League winner Kylian Mbappe. There is also the return of Juan Bernat to look forward to after more than one year on the sidelines due to injury.

Angers: One of this season's surprise packages, Gerald Baticle's men are a vibrant side which blends youth and experience. Mohamed-Ali Cho is enjoying a breakout season while the team is all the up at fourth in the table and within reach of RC Lens in second. Parc des Princes is rarely a happy hunting ground for Angers, so they will be looking to keep it tight against a hungry Parisien outfit.
Prediction
A relatively straightforward win for the capital outfit. Despite major absences in the form of Neymar, Marquinhos, Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria, Pochettino still has enough firepower at his disposal with the likes of Mbappe. Pick: PSG 3-1 Angers.
